Welcome to the forum GunslingerN7!
These days yes, DS is now mounting QD’s on the hard line tubing. That said, you should be aware that when we do hear of leaks on the forum, it’s almost always the hard line tubing. There’s no flexibility, so it doesn’t handle shipping bounces very well...lol. |

All the above but it does look super. And in the likely event that you keep your system long enough and you want to upgrade [usually the gpu(s)] you will most likely have to redo the hardline.

I would also like to mention sometimes the pumps give out, new or old. Be ready to work on your tubes down the road, at some point you will need to swap parts.

I figured that No system is perfect and water cooling is more complex than air cooling and requires maintenance like flushing and changing the fluid. I appreciate the input this will be the most complex water cooling loop I have ever had. Do they build in a drain port or give any thought to maintenance when they put the loop together?

Unfortunately no and you can special order one, which we suggest when an open loop is ordered. Haven't seen one. If and when you call to change to soft tubing do request that a drain valve be installed and an extra bottle of coolant. During shipping, air will come out from the system and you will want to refill. Edited by hoserator - 19 Oct 2019 at 12:34pm |
