Would it be worth it to upgrade my computer, I play video games mostly:
 
Computer I have now:
Power Supply: 1200W Thermaltake (Triple SLI Compatible) (Silent Toughpower Edition)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad QX9650 Extreme 3.00GHz (1333MHz FSB) (12MB Cache)
Motherboard: nVidia 780i Core 2 Quad (nForce 780i SLI)
Memory: 4GB DDR2 Corsair at 1066MHz Dominator (Dual Channel) (Extreme-Performance)
Hard Drive 1: 74GB Western Digital Raptor (10K RPM) (8MB Cache) (SATA) (Extreme Speed)
Hard Drive 2: 250GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA)
Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS (Up to 7.1 Channel) (Includes I/O Unit)

12GB of ram is a waste, you got a qx9650, best wait a couple of years before you upgrade.

skyR is right, if you got money like that, there are kids starving, donate to their cause

uh... you know what? some people would kill to get your current system, skyR is right(copyright DST4ME) donate it or something, then wait intel's tick tock to go Tock, when they make the i7's(hopefully) 32nm.

If you're mainly concerned about game performance, then keep your current computer, but upgrade your video card instead. Buy a second 280 GTX and hook them together with an SLI bridge. You should see a significant boost in most games.
