has anyone used guitarport?

   I was wondering if there are sound cards such as the ones on here where you could plug your guitar in?  or you plug in your guitarport to the card.  I couldn't do it on my older computer here.  If anyone has any experience with guitarport or knows anything on this matter, help me out
