So I'm really hoping someone will be able to help me with this, I got my x15 laptop last august and It has been pretty smooth sailing with no trouble at all. As of recently I started having issues connecting to certain wifi signals, namely my girlfriend's, grandparents', and academic side of campus at my college's wifi. Now I chalked it up to crappy routers or something of the like, but now, everytime my computer sits unused, on or off for more than about 30 minutes, my wireless card (Intel(R) Centrino (R) Ultimate-N 6300) turns itself off, and as time has gone on, my Wireless Network Connection 2 (Virtual WIFI miniport) has also turned itself off, and a third miniport also turned off, these all used to be on. My issue isn't that before I can access the internet I have to go and manually turn on my wireless card, but that it has been taking longer and longer to turn on, where now I have to diagnose the card, have it tell me the problem is that the card is off thats why I can't connect, and then let it sit while it *corrects the issue* at longer intervals of time, right now it takes about 5 minutes to diagnose and then the card turns on, it used to be near instantaneous. The only information I've found on this is a friend who had seemingly the same type of issue with an older computer, where he was able to just salvage it for parts, I dont have the option to do so. If there is anyone who could shed aaaaany light on what could possibly be happening, I would be so thankful!!

Another quick bit of information if it would help, at first it seemed that when i left my computer on power saver (even though i unselected *allow the card to turn off to save power* that it would happen and by changing it to high performance i wouldnt have to worry about it *also has the same setting unselected* but now my computer is effectively a desktop replacement except for about 2 hours on tuesday and thursday when i lug it around. On high performance the issue still happens x.x

Not a laptop guy but has anything in Power options changed, esp if this happens only on battery?

Try reinstalling the card's drivers or use an older driver.

Go into msconfig, Startup and uncheck whats not needed, esp if multiple WiFi type tasks that are hogging your resources are starting up.

Here's a discussion that might help.     http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/634245-problems-intel-centrino-n-6300-a.html

Hope its this easy and good luck.

Well, I reinstalled the drivers and it stopped happening once, but now it happens again... seems to have "reset" the timing however, now I just have to diagnose and then it instantly turns itself on once it finds that it being off is the problem. Not a huge hassle, but very confusing. At least now I can make sure it doesnt take any longer than a few seconds to turn on lol, appreciate the help.

*Also, it happens on battery or plugged in*
