The new card by ATI will be kicking NVIDIA's butt until they come out with gt300 series? I've seen benchmarks & temperatures and HD 5870 has a huge advantage and a lower price :/

Good for ATI.  They should enjoy these brief moments in time where at least one of thier cards has a lead over Nivida, because shortly (measured in months) they'll be right back behind the power curve again, a spot they've grown rather accustomed to over the last several years. Smile

Good for us customers too.  Real competition keeps prices down and quality up.

Which is why I say hurrah for ATI, at least occasioally they're bringing some competition to bear, in some fashion other than price.

Because to be brutally honest, when it comes to discrete video cards, my main concern is centered around quality (read performance) more than price.

actually 2 x 275 will give you better performance for only a $30 difference, and that will even change, and in nov - dec nvidia 300gt will come out, so in short, in 2 month nvidia will have the best card out again.

but its great for the market and prices tho.
