Hi all:
My PC Monitor is a Samsung 24" model that is also a TV. It is currently connected via the PC-in (through DVI). Now that I have a monitor with an HDMI input, I was wondering, is there any benefit to using HDMI over DVI for my PC? I am guessing they both pass through the copy protection on my blu-ray drive...so the only benefit would be it passes sound directly to the monitor/tv speakers, but since they stink and I Have a logitech 5.1 system right from the motherboard, there really isn't any advantage right? I can't plug in the HDMI anyway, because of the way the card is seated, I can't plug in the HDMI cable as the port is seemingly obscured by the Digital Storm case...anyone else having that issue? (this PC was purchased in mid-2011). Still works great and I still love it, btw! |

HDMI vs DVI
DVI and HDMI are both the same picture quality wise. The only difference is the connection type and the fact that HDMI can carry both video and audio. |
