I recently purchased a gaming headset, the Razer Kraken X. This headset is optimized for console, but is supposed to work on any device with a 3.5mm audio jack (the Razer website lists it as compatible with PC.)
Bear with me because I'm not too great with electronics, but for the last 10 months I've had the PC it's given no major issues though I do know the headset isn't working the way I believe it's meant to (which would be being able to use the headset not only as headphones, but as a microphone as well for services such as Discord and general voice recording.) I've attempted to simply plug the headset into the port at the front/top of the PC under the headphone of what I've managed to get from the product. Plugging it into the port next to it, the one with the microphone symbol above it, does nothing. The headset does come with an adapter for both audio and microphone jacks (green and pink). After attempting to plug these in to the respective ports at the front/top of the PC, and in the respective green/pink ones in the back, and trying different combinations including unplugging the Logitech speakers, I've gotten no result and the headset still does not work as it should. Is there something I am missing, or doing incorrectly? |

Did you install your driver(s)?
Also, how or where was your prior sound source plugged into the Lynx? Finally, is this a new computer or does this just happen to be your first post? |

Thanks for replying, please forgive me but what exactly are drivers and how would I go about install? My speakers are plugged in the audio (green) port in the back of the PC. The PC is not brand new, but I've owned it for less than a year and have used it pretty consistently since purchase. |

I am sure you have figured this issue out by now, but you need a headphone splitter for youre headset. the splitter goes into the headphone and audio jack to receive both into the headset.
