1. Will going from 4Gb of ocz 1600Mhz ram to 4Gb of ocz sli 1800Mhz ram make much of a differance or should I go with 2000Mhz?? 2. My 150Gb Vraptor is about 55% full and I was thinking about doing a OS reinstall. Should I install the OS on my 300Gb Vraptor hdd?? I was also wondering if my games need to be installed on the same hdd as the OS or can I install them on my seconed hdd and still play them?? Also I heard when doing a fresh install you have only one gpu installed(I have 3) and install the rest after installing vista 64 or else sli wont work?? Is that true??? 3.Correct me if I am wrong but a duelloop LCing system is two LCing systems in one pc right?? One for the cpu and one for the gpu's right?? I was thinking about having DS install LCing for my 3 gtx 280's cause they are running kind of hot.

I have a 790i Ultra but,
"Correct me if I am wrong but a duelloop LCing system is two LCing systems in one pc right?? One for the cpu and one for the gpu's right?? I was thinking about having DS install LCing for my 3 gtx 280's cause they are running kind of hot. "
I can answer this one. The duel loop is 2 seperate cooling systems. One is for the CPU ansd the other is for the GPU's
If you have 3 Vids, I would suggest to lc. I tried both ways. Without lc under full load I was hitting temps of 75C. With lc I am hitting max temps of 62 C. Having three water cooled cards make things a little tight and if you look around here at some pictures you will get an idea of how 3 GPU's are water cooled ( in, line adapters )
I can only speak about the 790i mb anfd the 280 GTX's. I do not know what MB and GPU's you have.
On the memory, If you have memory that can get to or is rated at 2Ghz then go for it. If it is rated at less then you have to try OC and see what works. I have Corsair 1600 XMS 3's and I can get to around 1.8 Ghz OK but I reaaly did not see any difference between the speeds.

The gpu's fan speeds are set to 100% when gaming and the temps can get as high as 83c.
"No info on the SLI deal..but it sounds stupid to me" just got off the phone with evga and they say it is just a marketing ploy. So should I go with OCZ Platinum/gold 2000Hz or Corsair 2000Hz?
So installing games on a different HDD then the OS will not hurt proformance or cause issues???

Well first of all if your worried about your GPU temps turn down the OC on them...Also 83* isnt bad for them, they are designed to run super hot. Like i said just turn down the OC, you dont need an OC when you have 3 super powerful cards.

Thie is not my system but here is a link to what someone else posted for a 3 way LC SLI
I Tried the Corsair 1800 Dominators on my system but They did not like the XFX 790i MB. So I went back to the 1600 XMS3's and can OC at 1800 with ease. I never figured out why but they gave me a lot of memtest errors. Edited by [email protected] - 24 Jan 2009 at 1:47pm |

The uv glowing green looks sweet and with the gpu's being LCed I might get my OCs closer to yours. they are at 670/1458/1215 now. That is the first time I have seen a radiator in the back

DS actually put 3. One on the back, one on the top the sane size, both for the GPU's and one single for the CPU on the top..
In the front panel picture you can see where they put the 2 resevoirs. I lit them up UV style. The Vid Coolant is green but the CPU coolant is actually yellow. I wanted to know what hoses cooled what. I changed the fan direction though. I have the rad fans pulling in the cooler room air then pulling it from the inside of the case. Room temp is 22C and case temp is 32 C thats why I did that.

I am considering having my red lights/coolant removed then have DS install uv lights with blue to the cpu and green to the gpu's. But first i need to find out how much it is going to cost me so I can see if I am getting a big enough refund to cover it.
