I am looking for a DS under this customization
http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=406190 I don't want to spend more than 1350. If you can fit a monitor into that would be nice, if not don't worry about it. I mainly want it to run a game like APB without any lag which shouldn't be hard. So basically something that can run MMO's nicely. This is one i made please tell me if i should add/remove something 425900 Edited by armed mind - 28 Jul 2010 at 12:19am |

1350 isnt much of a budget for a gamingcomputer but there are some changes in there that you can choose from, either adding better overall performance with the vid card you chose, or adding a better vid card but not ssd but i think the vid card can benifit you the most since ssd's are a luxury not a necessity.
Option 1:PSU changes to 750 corsair GPU changes to nvidia 460 or 465 Cooling changes to the V6 cooling Option 2:Change hdd1 to a 40g intel ssd for OS/apps and hdd2 to a 1tb drive. Cooling is V6 also Both of these will benefit you but i think choosing a better vid card would be better by a long shot. If you can up your budget to 1600 you can get an x58 build or both of what i suggested together. EDIT:Oh god sorry, i completely forgot =x this is only if you want to keep with intel, i personally dont recommend amd because i have had bad experiences with it Edited by Mr. - 28 Jul 2010 at 10:44am |

So would this be a better build? ticket number: 426147
isn't h20 better than fan? and would it be better to get duel gts 250, or what you said. So if you have any more suggestions id be willing to spend around a 1600 budget. Edited by armed mind - 28 Jul 2010 at 3:20pm |

The h20 is better than air cooling, however the stage 2 asetek h20 isn't real liquid cooling, and is outperformed by the stage 1 and 2 air coolers. stage 3 and above are real liquid cooling. Most people here will recommend the coolermaster or noctua fans over the asetek. If you could spend a little more, i would get the 470. It's quite a bit better than the 465, and only 80 bucks more. look at the graphs at the bottom |

The cooler gets you a better oc.
For $10 get some BLUE. (Or RED or GREEN)
If you want the monitor bundle, get the 22", you'll thank me.
Get a game and t-shirt, theyre free.

As Ch3ssplay3r said, a real LCS is a lot cooler than aircooling but at a huge price. Th asetek just say it is liquid cooling for the sake of the name LC, it doesnt cool as well as either of the noctuas.
Dont get the 465, get the 460. some of the reaons is it runs less hot and uses less power also costs less too.
If your budget is 1600 you can get the best of the gpu's and the ssd+hdd. With n 1600 budget, thisi the config i would recommend.
Ticket # 426174
Yea it came out to be 1700 lol but thats only because i gave you an ssd. you should be able to play your game with no lag at all and many others. Oh yea the ssd is optional it just makes your load times alot faster to make your rig seem a lot faster lol. Take it off then youll be looking at under 1600 with a kick ass rig Edited by Mr. - 28 Jul 2010 at 4:48pm |

Why, so you did! Lol.
I'm trusting DS on the monitor. IMHO, you can figure they're not bundling some piece of crap, because of who they are. It's just that 22" is so much better an experience, the $25 is chump change. For a tight budget, that's not a bad little bundle. If you have that gear already, though, you can shop around for upgrades at your leisure, and get what you want.
