can u guys help me? im deciding to buy a gaming desktop, all i know that i wanted 8800GTX and at least 2 gigs DDR2 since ill use XP, not vista. can u guys help decide the other part? and why?

I'm not a hardware guru, but you may wanna consider two things:
 
1.  Pay the extra for disk space and the Dual Boot option.  The only reason is that some software may eventually go the way of Vista and you may not have a choice.  But that may not be there right now.
 
2.  Disk space.  Disks are relatively cheap these days.  Best to spend a little extra on disk space to know you have it.
 
Now, if you're a speed freak, having Raid 0 may be nice as well.

around 1500-1750 without the monitor and keyboard muouse gaming.
btw i just see that theres new VGA ,9800GX2, they say its more powerful and more cheaper then 8800 GTX.is there any benchmarking between 8800 and 9800?
