ok guys so I need some help. I hooked up the SSD and its being recognized in BIOS and all that but I cant get the drive to work. I know I need to reformat it some thing but can someone give me instructions on what to do? I am looking in Intel ToolBox and I see the new drive but I do not see any option to reformat it or activate it so windows recognizes it.
all I can find for instructions on the internet is for people who are using the ssd as their main drive and using the data migration software. I am not doing this, I am using this new SSD as my third drive to install games on so I dont see any instructions on what to do
Need some help!

I think I figured it out. I went into control panel and into disk management. Then I created a new volume and did a quick format and now its showing up on my computer. So is that all I need to do or did I do this wrong? |

Ya you beat us to it, as you did, you needed to go to right click my computer>manage>disk management>here from the right pan right click your new drive and choose format and afterwards partition it.
