Look I'm a noob, and this forum is full of intelligent computer lovers, so help me out with building a gaming pc. Also does dso ship to australia?

I'm looking for a gaming pc with a price range between 1000 - 1500 ... since price shoots up like no tomorrow once you convert aud to usd. I won't be playing heavy games like crysis and what not, so it should bring down some value right? I play counter-strike source with a passion, i play cevo league for a couple years now and i'm sick of 45fps! So it's time for a change. I'd also like to be able to play l4d and tf2 without lag. I also want the pc to be able to play diablo 3 and starcraft 2 well when they are released. I'm also a web designer and I need a new system to do that too, something that can run photoshop along with various other programs simultaneously because at the moment I get random computer lag when I'm designing and msning and surfing the net at once.

Also I was trying to build a pc on dso and the idea of liquid cooling sounds cool and looks cool too with the colored water etc. Should I get liquid cooling? or is using fans good enough?

Is using dual-sli graphics cards good? I saw it as an option but is it really necessary to do what i want?

Would dso allow me to pay in aud? because 1500 usd = 1800 aud.

Well I can only answer a couple of those guestions, first, for 1500 dollars, the budget is very low, I'm not sure what the resolution you want to game at is but I hope its under 1600 x 1200, otherwise you are stuck with 45 fps.

second for your budget we can't add liquid cooling cost the cost will be over $2000.

what is the resolution you want to game at?

the Noctua NH-U12P does a great job on the cpu, of course air is never gonna be as good as frostbite but for oc of 3.3 to 3.9GHz it is great.

for res of upto and including 1600 x 1200 once gpu is fine.

that will not include a crate that you will need for shipping for $200 and then the shipping cost itself.
the only thing in your budget for an i7 is the pre build Best Bang for Buck, but that is a system that you can't upgrade to sli, otherwise if we config a system for you, you are looking at around $1650 or so dollars.

if your resolution ever goes up to 1900 x 1200 and you want to play your games on high settings and have over 60fps you will need 2 gpus in sli.

I know I know. It's $1392 w/o OS, decent customer support, a good warranty, quality workmanship, overclock, resale value or piece of mind. Seriously dude, please don't buy from ibuypower.  It'll ruin your day.

Oh ya, don't forget your shipping cost chief. No telling what IBP will bill ya for shipping to australia.

ibuypower, where you go if you want a crappy system and horrible customer service, if you want to save money and have a crappy PC that breaks-down all the time, then buy from ibuypower
