Well, i just joined the DS crew do to this drastic question.

My budget is 200 bucks!
I need a new video card being a fool i bought a Sapphire HD4850, 1gig/256bit, It was an amazing card while it worked i used to be able to play Crysis with all Very high, 8xAA!!! <-- WOW, seriously i could and i had no lag! It was a good card but, the cooling solution for it sucked. It ran at 100c on full load.

Edit: Im not going to replace it by sending it back for a new one, i dont even think i can, as its been discontinued, but i dont wanna deal with any hassle or anything plus i got the chance to get a totally new and different one.
And also, i plan to be running 1440x900 Resolution.

My mobo is an  ASUS M2R32-MVP 580X CrossFire, At first i used 2x 2600xt's then last September i upgraded to the HD4850, Now, ill probably end up getting the same just a different brand.

I buy alot from newegg, so these are the ones i been looking at.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161244

Ive thought about just grabbing 2 cheaper 4850's and Crossfiring them since my board is crossfire supported, but dont wanna deal with the crossfire hassle i just want to get a new card and have it play all the games out to date with no problems.

Hope for positive responses, and some good help.

Thanks for reading, John.

Ok, ive downloaded, uninstalled, rebooted and am now installing.

Half Way, But also i dont believe changing fan speeds now will help the card i think its already burnt a few things up over the last 4 months. :(

Any idea of a new card to get??

Well, for future reference, ATI has stated that the gpu in the 4800 series can handle up to 125* C operation before sl*gging. Also, with the current CCC, the 4850 fan can be manually adjusted. During some games, it will get hot unless you pop the fan speed to 65% at least. Assassin's Creed and Red Alert 3 have brought my temps up in the 90s when I had the fan running at 45%, so I now pop the speed up before playing those games. 45% is the limit of fairly quiet fan operation. At 50%, it's audible over other fans, and it's fairly loud at 65%, but I'd rather keep temps below 80* C, in spite of what ATI says is safe operation temps.
Personally, I'm waiting for some cooler running cards in the future. Can't complain about the performance and graphics appearance at all however.

Ya the card is an HD4850 which is now discontinued and the CCC couldnt change my fan speeds but Rivatuner did and now my temp is down 20c, i could care less about noise so i just got it bumped to 100.

I wanna get one of the HIS cards because there IceQ 4+ cooling units are awesome my friends HIS card stays at 40C on idle and 52C on full load.

That's crazy about the CCC not having fan control for you. You should always be updating drivers though. There are always bug fixes and improvements. Even if it "seems" fine to you, there are things that you do not see. It's just always good to keep your GPU drivers updated. I check mine once a month.
