Ok..so I just want a decent pc to run World or Warcraft and Age of Conan. Those are the only two games we really play. I really want to order from digital storm and I have a budget of about $1800-$1900 ( also need/want a monitor). I was playing around with "customize" and this is what I came up with. I was wondering if I could get some input on my selection. Also, should I go wtih liquid cooling? I dont know much about it..but I was told with the processor I wanted it would be wise to choose as they apparently run a little warm..?
This config is running me about $1936.00..kinda too high but its all I can afford.. I appreciate any help on this... Have you considered checking out the prebuilt options on the homepage? im moderately sure the best bang for the buck model could run both those games easily.

yeah i checked out the "best bang for a buck" not to bad but i wanted something with a little more bang..and yeah i cant upgrade. I really like the specifications given from DST4ME and i think i just might go with it...its a little more than what i wanted to spend but i think these pc's are worth waiting an extra paycheck or so to get what i want. One question though...do i really need to overclock processor? I mean, i will still get gaming experience without overclocking with the processor and video card thats in spec....or shld i just do it? Ive never overclocked any processors ive had in past...im afraid it might shorten its life span or something.

just do it. it's on DS's butt if it fails, not yours. That's what the warranty is for. Plus, you get something faster than the $1000 i7 975 for about $650 less :)

Overclocking really is huge bang for the buck. Better than anything else you'll get. Just make sure your cooling is good.
...and like someone else pointed out, if you pay DS a bit to do it, any related issues are warrantied by them, and they definitely know what they're doing. If you do it yourself, you're on the hook for whatever you burn up if you don't know what you're doing.

yes the OC will make a big difference, you are talking about going from 2.66GHz to 3.3GHz or higher, it is safe and its not extreme OC so you don't have to worry about the life of your CPU
