Working on the configuration of my new DS machine.
According to our budget, I've narrowed it down to two configurations. I can get the Velox case with the 3060 or the Lynx case with the 3070. I'm running 3 monitors (1600x900 - 1920x1080 - 2560x1440). Is there a big enough difference between the GPUs to justify sacrificing the case? Everything else is the same as you can see below... (Notice the matched storage slots; 980 1TB each.) No doubt in my mind the 3070 over the 3060, anytime. I wouldn’t let a case decide between the two. The 3070 is anywheres between 30-50% better overall. The 3060Ti is much closer to the 3070, even matching it in some cases.
Cases are a tough call but not to sacrifice performance in gaming. I do like the Velox more, but in the end, it’s just a case to hold the goodies. Both have good cooling and easy to work in. Good luck. |

+1 That's a lot of real estate to move pixels in. I'd go with the 3070 and run with it longer before you have to upgrade the gpu. It is as bprat22 stated, better in all respects. That is a nice system and the cpu is tops. Enjoy the process. |

Between those 2 the difference is way less (7% to 15%) in favor of the 3070. (userbenchmark.com) The 3060Ti is a better buy IMO.

Agree with hose. If money is OK then the 3070 but the difference in price makes the 3070 a tough call.

The 3060 Ti is my current favorite in bang-for-buck. There's just no question at these prices IMHO. The 3060 is a dud.
