Well, I originally was going to go with IBuyPower, but due to their sketchy reliability and junk customer service I just decided it wasn't the right way to go. I stumbled upon this site, and the reviews I read just seemed phenomenal. The thing is, I've only got around $1,150, with $1,300 tops for a computer. Can someone help me configure the best computer on this site for that ammount? I know it's barely any, but it's tough times for me and I can't spare much for a computer. The only real prequisite is that I need at least 320GB of HD space, but other than that, I'm just looking for the best price vs. performance pc that I can possibly get with that ammount of money. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First, this computer is for mostly gaming, along with some school work, and I will also occasionally be doing video editing, but not that much of it. Second, I also really like AMD and ATI, so I was more thinking of the AMD + ATI custom configurator, with a AMD 9550 quad core and having DS overclock it. I haven't calculated a graphics card into that yet.

Here is an AMD/ATI option in your price range with an overclock as you requested as well as some improved cooling to help you get a good overclock.
The price comes in at $1,271 and I was able to fit in an ATI 4850 videocard.
Nice to see you really can get a pretty sweet system in that price range. A nice upgrade would be 4GB RAM and Vista-64 if you can stretch another $90.

TBH, an Intel dual core will beat the AMD quad in most cases. I think I can get you more computing power with an Intel/ATI combo than going straight AMD.
I will do my best to put together a system both ways. Bang for the buck, however, is going to be Intel and ATI.
