Forum users of Digital Storm I need your help!!! I am looking to buy my FIRST gaming computer and I am like a newborn babe alone in the darkened woods of Middle Earth as ravening hordes of Uruk-hai descend upon me. In other words, I have no idea what I am looking for.
My interest in finally looking into a gaming rig stems from my love of two RPG console games: Elder Scrolls - Morrowind & Dragon Age: Origins. I have loved these games on my XBOX and PS3 respectively and would like nothing more then to further experince them in all their modded-out PC glory. However, not owning a home computer makes that rather difficult (as you could imagine). So after a quick perusal of Google via "Best Damn Gaming Computer" I stumbled upon this site. Well perhaps stumbled is not the proper word as I seemed to be pulled here via Jedi Mind Power as I read positive comment after positive comment. Anyway, long story short - I have a budget of $1500-$2000 to work with and my only goal is to be able to run these two games with major mods with as few issues as possible. I have no need for any other applications nor do I forsee such in the future. I would like to be able to hook the system up to my 65in Mitsubishi DLP HDTV, otherwise as large a monitor as is feasible is the goal. My knowledge is pretty minimal so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read and I hope the forum can help. -TUT |

The stage 2 Liquid cooler is crappy...For your setup going with Air cooling will be more than enough.
Dragon Age Origins is awesome isn't it ;p I could never get into the morrowind series. |

Tut,
Having your 65" HDTV will be cool novelty to fire up some of your games on. I think that certainly RPG's can sometimes be played like that. But, at least for me, competetive gaming is best on 22". Some people say 19". But in any event, go with a two monitor set up if you can. So run a 22" 1920X1080 along with your big TV.
