how does this build look?? any suggestions? trying to keep my build around 2800
with monitor. i have a ds sysytem now about 4 yrs old and luv it was thinking of upgrading soon to play crysis and bioshock and other new releases will this last for 4 or 5 yrs? also what fans come with the 850 case?

do you really need a dvd rom and a dvd rw? won't the rw do both for you?

I also say stage 3 since you don't want to OC

I have two and its a waste. specially now, why would I want to backup to a dvd or cd when I can do it with a sd or usb stick.

I'm about to buy a system much like yours.  
 
I'd OC the CPU.  Normally I wouldn't but as DS provides a 3-year warranty that would lead me to believe it's fairly safe and probably a good value seeing as the cost Intel charges for higher speed chips.
 
I'd get a second HD especially for $99 for a 500G is a good value. 
 
 
I have read the Nvidia 260 card is quite good.  I would prefer the 280 but the price is still very high.

LoL in the past 10 years I have had only one CD/DVD drive fail on me, so when it goes I will get one, that should take minutes
