Budget:
$3,000 but flexible if need be Expectations: I'd like to be able to have multiple monitors at some point (suggestions on that would be great too) and run everything at max settings. Usage: Gaming (Fortnite, pubg, overwatch), video editing, streaming Special Needs: I won't always be able to get a wired network connection so will need wireless setup as well. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can provide! |

Here's a build a bit over budget but has top tier components and strong performance.
WIFI is built into the motherboard. 16GB ram is all gaming needs, but I put in 32gb in case your video editing was on the more demanding end. You might save some $$$ dropping to 16gb, but up to you. I guessed on the gtx 1080, not knowing what resolution your monitors will be. The gtx 1080 is more than you need for a single 1080p screen but works great on 1440p at higher refresh. Welcome to the forums!
Bprat has you covered, I wouldn't add a thing. I would advise to think hard on the extra RAM. Memory is selling at a high premium right now, and unless you are very intensely into video editing, that extra $221 won't do much for you. |

Forgot to mention...this build doesn’t include an optical, DVD drive. The case doesn’t support an internal drive, but you can add an external drive that plugs into USB. Optical drives are becoming less used as time goes on. I still use one, maybe a couple of times a year.
Good point on the ram. Ram was so much cheaper several months ago and adding more that you might need wasn’t a big expense. Now it is. |
