I really want to get a DS laptop because I'm constantly on the go; however i've owned about two laptops that weren't high end (actually low end) and i'm discouraged on if a DS laptop can handle high end games like battlefield, call of duty, crysis 2, Skyrim...etc. If there is anyone who owns a mid range DS laptop pls reply as soon as possible i really want to try and get one :(

Welcome to the forums!
If you could provide us with your budget that would help us find a laptop configuration that would fit your needs. Digital Storm provides probably the best valued gaming laptops of any system builder. Unfortunately, how much you can spend on hardware will always determine what level of gaming you will get. Every DS laptop will be able to play all of those games though, you may have to adjust some settings to get optimal framerates depending on what configuration you end up getting. I do personally own a DS laptop and I absolutely love it. The laptop I own handles every game I play at high-ultra settings at a constant 60fps. If you have any other questions about DS laptops feel free to ask. |

Higher end laptops will have no problem playing games, so no worries there. You do sacrifice mobility though, as they are heavier and have (comparatively) shorter battery life.

ZrZ,
What Tid and Dom said. A properly-spec'd laptop will not have any trouble with demanding games. Right now, ten feet away from me, a friend is playing one of those modern FPS titles with all the settings cranked. The visuals are like looking through a window. No lag. No horizontal tears. The trade-off is Portability vs Power. |

I agree with everyone else, our laptops can definitely rip through those games.

I went a little on the high end side today and purchased a x17E. I can't wait to try it out on some FPS's... Bring on Crysis 3!
