Are you plugging it into the video card or the motherboard?

Did you open the system up when you got it and make sure the video card and ram are fully seated in the MB?
Vibrations from shipping can cause all shorts of issues. |

Definitely start here. Also, is the system powering on, with lights, fans, etc.? My guess is that something just got joggled around in there during shipment. |

Well, to keep things simple. Is everything powering on when you press the power button?
Things to look for include various lights, spinning fans, possibly some beeps. |

Sorry to hear of the broken light but I really think we can get your monitor and pc working. If you are hooking the monitor cable to the hdmi next to the vga port, near the USB and audio ports, then that's the motherboard and not the video card. The motherboard video ports are disabled when a video card is installed. Drop down a few inches to where the video card and it's ports run horizontally. There is probably a black plastic cap covering the video card hdmi and dvi ports. Remove the plastic cap. That might be why you were hooking to the only visible hdmi connection.
Hope this works for you. If so, the broken light, assuming it's the red light strip, can be sent to you for easy replacement. Happy Thanksgiving. Edited by bprat22 - 28 Nov 2013 at 3:07am |

Everything is working great minus the light thanks everyone for your input it really helped yall are all great people! Also just a question...why does DS not look for a new shipping provider because it seems people are having lots of deliveryissues and if people are paying thousands of dollars we would probably like everything in tact. Just curious. I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving!

Glad to hear!
In regards to your post, the amount of shipping issues is very, very small. It's difficult if not impossible to gauge how things are by looking at the forums. Many of our customers unfourntely don't go on the forums that buy our systems. In addition, mostly people that need help post on the forums, so you'll always notice more issues than what's really going on. |

With any shipping provider there is usually a chance the PC will get rough handled. Its usually the person or persons handling the package that can be just downright careless.
My PC arrived perfectly fine with no issues, the carrier i chose was the USPS. Edited by ArkansasWoman777 - 28 Nov 2013 at 11:02am |

Yea, it goes into power save mode, i have it set to for my monitors display to turn off after 10 minutes of no activity. Depending on what operating system you have, for Windows 7 you can go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, and under Power Options you can choose whether or not you want your PC to go to sleep ( i have that set to Never) or have your monitor turn off the display after a certain amount of minutes of no activity.
