Hello digital storm,

First off just wanted to say i jus got done going thru ur website and forums and i am pretty impressed. Now i am looking into buying a new gaming computer and i was hopin one your staff members would be able to help me out in deciding what my build should be. I have a $2200 budget that I dont wanna to extend but will if necessary. I play oblivion and World of Warcraft on a 24inch monitor, i also do some video editing, surf the web, watch movies all the normal stuff. Im going to keep my monitor to use for my new computer so we can exclude a monitor along w/key board and mouse. So basically im looking for a build that is going to allow me to run WoW and oblivion at their max along wit really good resolution and frames per second. Now i dont know if i will need to run 2 video cards on a SLI setup to do this or not. So if I dont need to run 2 video cards thats fine and if I do need to run 2 video cards SLI thats fine also.

So basically im asking to be shown a nice build that will be able to handle all this with ease and more. Basically an all around fast computer(web surfing, download, etc) that handle the game demands also.

Thank you in advance

oggy

You can get 8800 GTS and slower ram if you want to save some money.

thank you for the build, i really appreciate it, do you think going down to the 8800gts would limit me on anything?

also is there anything else i could add to the build that would help prevent any issues like things getting to hot and other issues, or will the build be fine how it is?

any other suggestions or builds from anyone?

You won't have any problems with World of Warcraft or Oblivion on high performance with the 8800 GTS.

You can upgrade to the silent arctic cooling if you are worried about tempatures but it should be fine =)

You did a great job! Ticket 71656 looks great for your requests. A quad-core for all of the video editing and rendering, bundled with a fast video card and fast memory for gaming.

Its perfect!

The 8800 GTX is better then the 8800 GTS but both are still top end cards and will handle any game out in the market today at max settings.

If you enjoy playing games at high resolutions 1600x1200, then get the GTX. If you play games on low resolutions 1280x1024, then get GTS.

Looks good, but a 500W power supply is running you dry, you should go with at least a 600W for a single 8800GTX.

For the budget you have, and the setup your looking for, you might want to consider taking out the 150GB Raptor drive [it's great and all, it will save a few seconds on loading times, but the price for drive might be a good balance for your budget]. You can go with a 250GB and go with a 620W power supply and still stay below $2200. Check ticket # 71867.

You're not in any trouble but itt does limit your upgrades in the future.

Both of thos configurations are great, but their both set up with a low wattage PSU. If you ever want to add another GPU you will most likely have to replace the power supply with a one at a higher level...maybe 750W or higher...am I right?

If you have no intention to run dual graphics cards later on your probably fine. Can anyone confirm this?

i guess the 500w power supply wasnt enough for the build i ordered, i got a new update email wit a 600w power supply in the build instead of the 500w, which also bumped the price up some, there was no explanation in the email of why, im guessing the 500watt just isnt enough, do i need to confirm to you guys that going wit the 600 is okay wit me b4 u can process to order/ build the machine etc,,,,i emailed asking about the new update of my order
