I decided to choose a Lynx case because it will stand up to shipping the best IMO. Here is the build:

3627335       $2374   To see this, copy and paste the number into the window that opens when you click the "Load Config" in the upper right of the main page.

There are no significant compromises here. It will play great on a 2K (1440p) monitor resolution or the lesser 1080p. The budget allows plenty leftover for whatever DS recommends for shipping to the UK.

If you're playing competitive shooters, you'll be playing on a 1080p monitor. If you're playing on a 1080p monitor than the 3070 is more horsepower than you'll ever need. The 3070 is borderline overkill for a 1080p.

Ryzen 2nd gen competes and sometimes supersedes intel, (3rd gen outright defeats intel) - namely when we're talking gaming. Cretae's rig is great for your use case. If you want you could go for the 5600x (although 6 cores, the newest gen is pretty insane for gaming) - or switch to intel - that's fine. It doesn't really matter. Just make sure to spend at least 300 on the CPU. Anything you do in this price range will make your PS4 look like a toaster. But be sure to shop around for an excellent 1080p monitor. They are affordable. 1440p is more money, for a prettier picture but less fps.

Things to look for in a monitor: Response time (1-2ms) Hertz (at least 144hz but go higher if you can), and IPS.

3070 for 1080p should be more than enough! I have a Gigabyte 2070 super OC on a 1080p@144hz and I play COD BOCW max settings getting 170+ frames. When I play at competitive settings it borderlines at 190 or so

IPS refers to the type of panel for best colors/viewing angle. If you get the 3070, you will also want a G-sync compatible monitor.

The selection of the 3070 is as others said: best money can buy for 1080p and competitive fps, and capable of good results at 1440p. Well within the budget. Great card.
