Hi, this would be my first pc and I wanted to get one that would last at least a few years.I used a previous post as a guide to make this PC, but I changed a few things. Since I know very little I was hoping someone with more experience could see if anything looks wrong or needs to be changed. Thanks!!

It's a solid budget build. I have read that the 3060 Ti is about 20% stronger than the 5700 XT for just another $69, but either card is stronger than you need for 1080p gaming. 32GB of RAM is not needed, but I suggest you get the better dual fan CPU cooler.
Here is an alternate build with a little less raw CPU speed, but on the PCIe Generation 4 platform from AMD. It allows for the RTX3060 Ti and still saves a bit over $200: 3681496 $2351 with discount. The newer platform will improve performance all-around. It's not a game-changer, but it will be better for any future enhancements. It would also allow for an upgrade on the same motherboard to a 5000 series CPU in the future. I don't think you would need that for gaming for the lifetime of this build, but the option is there. |
