Need help with my build. System will be used for gaming and multi tasking, e.g., database, spreadsheet, web browsing, etc. Like to spend $5,000 or less, but don't want to compromise performance and upgrade capability. Selected lc for CPU only-is that a problem? Will this cause video card overheating problems? I have also read some posts that suggest Corsair Dominator/i7 issues. Should I select other RAM?

Don't forget to choose your Liquid Color! And depending on what you get, you may want to adjust your Internal Lighting.
Also, the Zalman Performance Fans will increase air-flow, but they're also kind of loud. I think Air-cooling your 2 cards should not be a problem. I have 2x GTX260s, and at 40% fan speed, they usually idle at 40-42 degrees celcius, at 100% they get down to 35-37 degrees. I'm using LED Performance fans, just to give you an idea. And with all the fines combined, it doesn't seem to be intolerably loud unless I turn the GPU fans over 80%. As to your other questions, I don't have any answers to those. Hopefully DST4ME will get back to you soon! Edited by graavin - 03 Jan 2009 at 7:35am |
