Help with my digital 7.1 output Marauder Lvl 3

Ok so I've loved my Marauder lvl 3. I've been using stereo headphone with it and it's awesome.

Recently I decided to hook my Turtle Beach X41 5.1 headphones up to it. I ran the digital optical cable from the back of the PC to the base of the X41.

I can get sound, but I have to press the bypass button to get it to play.

I'm not sure if that is because my computer is sending it stereo or because it's sending 5.1/7.1

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ok, Yeah I've got an email out to them.

So if I have it hooked up to the digital optical output for audio it's going to send whatever the game sends out right?

I couldn't find any settings for forcing it into stereo or 5.1

Frank, yeah this is the wireless system for the Xbox 360. I have the toslink going from my pc to the base station, the base station draws power from a USB port.

I think I finally got it figured out, I had to go in game and tell it I was using the digital optical output for audio.

Now sadly after getting that figured out I discovered that there is a lot of cracking and popping in the headset.

I did some research and Turtle Beach used 2.4ghz to connect base and the headphones, unfortunately this is the same as my WirelessG router    

I've all ready tried changing channels on the router but no luck. The way my system is setup I can't get more than 6 feet between the router and the base if I want to use it on my pc. Playing Xbox in the living room is not a problem because there is about 30 feet or more separation.

Looks like I'll have to keep using my Gamecon stereo headset for a while since its wired.

Oh and if I wanted to use the mic with the pc there is a $10 adapter that lets it plug into the audio in jack.
TL;DR
Fixed the problem but interference won't let me use it.
