Help with new rig?

crysis will not be maxed out with high aa unless you go with 3 x 5870.

you can go with the 285 to max out gta 4 but then it will cost you performance in future games, specially all the dx11 new games coming out, the new crysis I think is suppose to be dx11 not sure.

but if you gonna go nvidia then go with 2 x 275, 1792MB version for gta 4, as far as performance the 275 and 285 are very close, in cryssis the difference is 3 fps, and the 275 cost less, uses less power too.


you have chosen the fan upgrade, which:

1. with the haf are not needed

2. are very loud

but you also chose noise reduction which:

1. you trap noise you trap heat

2. this works counter to the fan upgrade

in short drop fan upgrade and drop noise reduction, you don't want/need both.

you don't need the stage 2 oc for games and its not a huge difference between 3.7GH to 4.0GHz in other stuff, don't get me wrong there is a difference but not that big of a difference.

mcafee is not teh best choice, its too heavy and has too many process that you don't need/want, instead go with ESET Smart Security:

go with win7 pro so you have xp support and networking.

shop around I think you can get the same quality or better performance monitor, check out Dell UltraSharp U2410, its a good monitor.
