Hi I am looking to buy a top of the line gaming system for around 5k. Can you please review my system specs for conflict? I think I might need to upgrade the motherboard for crossfire, but I am not sure. Also what does "turbo cool edition" mean on the power supply? I wanted 2 good video cards that were reasonably priced for about 2 gigs, is crossfire almost as efficient as SLI? Does my warranty cover future upgrades for my computer so I can get free labor for the upgrades and only pay for the costs of shipping and parts? Also what is the difference between stage 2 and stage 3 cooling?

Last question is it possible for overclocking to cause problems for me down the road even when it is done by a professional? Cause I would not be able to fix problems on my own cause I don't know wtf i am doing. Future upgrades are not covered by warranty. You are responsible for paying for the part, small labor fee, and shipping/handling.
Stage 3 cooling comes with better/more fans than Stage 2. Nvidia motherboards do not support CrossfireX. You will have to pick an Intel X38 or X48 motherboard for CrossfireX. CrossfireX has support for multiple monitors but currently does not beat SLI in performance. Nvidia cards are currently better and more games are optimized for SLI. Yes overclocking can cause issues. |

Hey John,
I actually have a little input too... If you're going with air cooling, go with the 850si case, it's a -much- better air cooled case, the 950 is more for water cooling. As for the crossfire? don't bother, skyR is right, nVidia has -much- better video cards out right now. Besides that, I think you only other thing to mention is, you have 4GB of RAM selected and only a 32bit OS. For $15 upgrade to Vista Ultimate 64bit edition and you'll be good to go. |

I question your Radeons for GPUs, while they will give good to great performance, for spending 5Gs I would want the best of the best, and buy all reguards Nividia cards are currently on the top of the hill right now.
So does doing any upgrades void any warrenties either? Like for example I got 1GX2, i add a second one, and later on the one supplied by DS craps out due to natural forces....would you guys cover that?

DS will cover the card we sold you. But say the card you put in shorts out the motherboard...then I believe we won't cover that...does that make sense?

Can you tell me what the pros and cons of overclocking are, and the probability of it causing problems? If a problem arises as a result of DS overclocking the system does that mean I can get it repaired for free under the warranty for the first 3-4 years minus shipping? Does DS have the capability to remotely control and troubleshoot computer problems like this company http://www.computergeeksonline.net/? What are the chances of fan stage 3 overheating too? If no modifications are made to my system and it overheats does my warranty cover all the parts and service minus shipping? My last computer overheated bad memories =(!!

DSO finds a safe overclock for you, it may not always be a huge performance increase, but they do make sure that your system will be overclocked as much as the system configuration you have can handle. Meaning.. If there is an over-heating issue trying to overclock too much, they will take it down until its at a safe and stable level.

You are almost getting the same system that I just recieved except for the video, cooling and power supply. I originally went with that power and changed it to the 1200. I am going to write up my review in the next 2 days. I went with the liquid cooling for the cpu. You won't be dissapointed.
