Okay, modified the liquid cooled to better fit what I am thinking of in terms of the hard drive discussion in another thread.  I didn't realize that liquid cooled would be within my budget, but I am glad to be wrong about that.

1TB drive is a bad idea, its too big to scan, search, backup and manage.

for OS you want something light and fast, like a veloci raptor, then you want to store everything else other then games and apps on a second HDD, which 500GB is about perfect size.

also the 1TB drive does not have anywhere near the veloci raptor's seek time, which is most important to games.

OK, I can go with that, now that I have an explanation.  Would I be able to play games off the second hard drive, as well.

Perhaps I can put my older games like Baldur's Gate II and such on there to play and just leave the faster hard drive for the more current resource heavy games (like Supreme Commander)?

You can partition the drives however you like, all depends where you install the program at.

I have been reading a lot on the forums and learning a bit more.  It may take me a little longer to get to this, but I think this is what I would like to go with.

I am most concerned about my choice for System Ram and Power Supply Unit.

I am still not sure which motherboard I should select.

Should I add a sound card?  Bear in mind, I have a 50% hearing loss, so unless adding a sound card would make a large difference, I probably wouldn't notice a difference between the motherboard sound or a separate sound card.
