Need some recommendations for a feature rich fast free file copy utility used for transferring files disk to disk and across the network to a NAS unit. Any one have some favorites? Guess I should have specified a GUI is preferred, I know about robocopy for command line...

try vise versa, I use it more for comparing drives and updating the destination drive from the source drive so both drives/folders match in terms of files.
but if I need to move a whole drive over then I use acronis and clone the drive. your transfer speed is mainly dependent on your connection speeds as far as I understand it. |

Naa I just need a simple fast utility that can transfer multiple files without having the job cancel out the first time a file fails. Looking at copying media files out to the SAN not cloning disks or anything.

Vise versa will skip problems and continue, it can do Synchronization and Copy / Replicate / BackUp,a its got a free 30 day trial, not sure if there are limitations but give it try if you think its right for you.
