Here is my pic of my new Digital Storm PC. The review is simple....AWESOME!
My wife and her firldriends did not see why I got so excited when I took it out of the box. They said its just a computer. Shame on them. The hardest decision was were I should put it as it did not fit in the previous space occupied by my other pc. My wife suggested the currently location and positioning and I think it looks great. The only issue I had was with my headset. I cannot get my jack headset to work, but the usb one is fine. Basically when I plug in my headsert only it is fine, but the mic jack once inserted, cancels out the headphone. ny suggestions? Also, anyone know how I can check the overclocking? I saw a post once, but cannot fin it. A Again, awesome rig and company, my only pc purchase place I will reccommend to anyone that asks. Thanks everyone! My mouth was on the floor when I took this pc out of the box and saw the quality and care that went into it. No where near the Gateway and HPs of computing past. The pictures do not do it justice, especially how it looks lit up in the room. I love the way the side panel looks. It is funny but all the women that have seen it or like eh, its okay. My wife who originally suggested the location is even having second thoughts. Too bad it cannot go anywhere else. I had a bunch of my buds over and they were drooling.
Thanks for the desk comments. I actually got it for a really good price on sale at a local shop. But I do know there is one very similar to it that I have seen at Costco for around 700-800 bucks. Yeah, I know that is some change to drop on a desk, my last one was 50 bucks, but I splurged with a tax refund one year. Funny thing is that it was a furniture line creasted by the former supermodel Kathy Ireland Here is a link if anyone cares: http://www.martinfurniture.com/collections/office/IMMV/IMMV5275.html |

One more thing, the two blue lights that flicker right next to the top USB ports reflect on the wall at night. Any suggestions to lessen the light. Is tape the only option or can I somehow reduce their brightness? Thanks again and sorry for all the questions.

Ha ha never mind my previous post. I came up with a "Macgyver"solution. I folded a piece of paper and layed it on top of the machine. Problem solved.

Came out to approx. $2800, but that figure included sales tax. It was well below the competition by at lest $1,000 plus.

Thanks the coin is in fact a plate and I do not believe it is gold, or I would of sold it for another video card and liquid cooling.
The setup is pretty much how I have to have it. It will not fit under my desk, in the provided cpu enclosure, or to the other side because of cabling. It is hit and miss with people liking it. Some think the gaming pc does not blend with the conservative furniture. I like it personaly so that shoudl do it. The noise does take some getting used to, but I think it is from the GTX 280 and not the case itself, which I heard is pretty quiet.

Thanks for all the useful links Cizma. I got the EVGA program already installed and that helped allot with the noise. The other constant hum is the fan located right below my processor connected below the SLI heatpipe. I was told not to mess with that one so i will not. Thanks again for all the links!

There are both 150GB and 300GB versions of the VelociRaptor now. They also still sell the old 150GB Raptor, but I doubt for much longer.
