I personally, hate the look of soft tubing. I hate how it looks completely. When I see soft tubing that crosses, I cringe. Not to mention the huge downside of soft tubing with how it degrades and deteriorates over time.

So the Aventum II offer metal tube which looks great. But tell me, why not offer acrylic tubing? I mean, if you go with the 900D (Hailstorm II), you're paying over $3,000 for the base config. That should get something that looks nicer than soft tubing, don't you think?

There is a guy who does build logs on youtube. He's from Australia. And I think his work with acrylic tubing his amazing and beautiful.  Figured I'd share it with you to see if maybe this is something y'all could move too.

Definitely looks good.

The Aventum II has a premium to add the copper tubing and I'm sure they could do this as well for an extra fee as it would take more time and require a bunch more fittings.

Here's another system using acrylic tubing but instead of fittings for the bends, they bent the tubing (like they do with the copper tubing).

Tubing, 10-12mm seems to be the material used in those builds. Each fitting is a bits power at 8$ plus per fitting. While I agree it is a gorgeous look, the labor and materials would get expensive very quickly. Fstcvc - are you going to add this to your build too? We should be getting shipping notices soon! This week maybe. If we stop making changes!

Alex informed that my Red pump kit should ship this week (finally!) so I think mine will take 2 more weeks before shipping... I'll save this option for the next build!

It's not too much more really, and it's more than just bits power fittings.  I've seen the prices for the PC's like the one I posted, and it's not bad all. When you're spending $3,000+ on a pc. Another couple of hundred is nothing, especially if it means you can go without getting soft tubing.  People don't realize how bad soft tubing is.

I must have had different experiences with soft tubing, I've seen it last over 9 years.

I would think UV exposure would be detrimental to the tubing, cause fatigue Coolcracking etc. But I know very little about it's preferred makeup, best materials etc.. Looks very clean though. Next time for sure!

Soft tubing deteriorates over time. Cracking and kinks is one of the issues but the biggest is it just deteriotating. If someone used the same tubing for 9 years they messed up. Thats horrible for your system. The chemical breakdown from the tubing. It gunks up. Gets in the pumps and water blocks.

You're system will start to get hotter over time. Nothing bad immediately buy over time.

This system is working fine. Granted, its old so its not used for gaming anymore, but the system is still running (Home server now Hahaha). There was regular cleaning/flushing of the system, but the tubes have never been replaced.

Silicone tubing won't harden like PVC/Vinyl tubing so it should last a good while. Even in the automotive field, people upgrade to silicone hosing for various applications because it doesn't dry out...

I disagree with soft tubing being bad. We use Tygon tubing is which is a high-quality grade tubing that can withstand chemicals.

Used Tygon tubing in the medical field for years and with many chemicals. Have had no problems. Because of that I would have no problem using Tygon in any system build. Not saying I haven't seen tubing rupture but that is from high pressure or fittings going bad.

Our LQ systems are not under high pressure. I think we should all do regular maintenance on our LQs anyway and that's what makes them last a long time.

Correct. Just because it is not rigid does not mean it is bad. It does not degrade over time.

All tubing degrades over time. Nothing last forever so you cant say that.

Dont get me wrong soft tubing lasts for years. I have soft tubing in mine now. But it does degrade. Everything plastic does over time. So dont take it like I mean after a year or two its dead.

Really in the long run you will probably upgrade it before it ever matters so my argument is fairly invalid on that stand point.
