Budget:
[$1600est]

Expectations:
[I am looking to be able to process up to 4k video, with minimum rendering times, and also be able to view previews with no sluggish performance. Occasional game play possibly]

Usage:
[Mainly for video and photo editing, usually short movies / wedding shots, etc.]

Special Needs:
[I have plenty of storage already covered]

Saved Ticket #: [N/A]

Specifications:
[intel i7 6700k or similar setup]

I have been looking at the Vanquish 3 Level 4 Ultimate prebuilt package, and it looks like this may be something I will be interested in, however, I am also viewing the Slade Pro under the Workstations and at minimum config, it looks very similar. Would the Vanquish satisfy and handle what I need, or will I need to dive into the workstation avenue?

Thank you in advance!

I don't know a lot about video rendering, but I've looked into it a bit, and you might take a look at a custom build on the gaming side starring a Ryzen 7 2700 or 2700X. That would be a great chip for you. You could elect a Coridium case to save money over the Slade and still have the option of an internal DVD or Blu-Ray. That would go toward the 32 GB of Ram that would help you enormously with performance in rendering and editing. I'm sorry I can't really advise on the video card, but my understanding is you don't really need a whole lot there. I think the GTX 1050 Ti 4GB might be enough?

If there's any budget left, be sure to get the best M.2 NVM Express SSD you can for your OS and rendering software. Preferably, a Samsung for quality and warranty.

A setup like that would look like this:

Digital Storm Desktop - Config ID 2012723.
It comes in at $1807.
