Depends on what he wants. I'm sure you can always scale down the graphics card and scale up the memory, CPU, and disk. And if you *really* need a powerful home office computer, you can always add the liquid cooling so he can run multiple apps on the box. (by over-clocking the CPU)

We could adjust a gaming computer into a home/office computer.
But, we currently do not have a line of computers for home/office users. Mainly because, Dell and HP have pretty aggressive pricing, but, down the road, we will offer them.
Cheers,
Alex

I hope not. Dell and HP offer aggressive pricing on giant piles of sheet thrown together in a plastic wrapper called a computer case.
Their aggressive pricing could be attributed to the fact they have factories in 3rd world countries, paying their employees slave-wage rates. Same goes for their phone support.
Lets hope DSO doesnt sink to that level in the process of trying to cut costs in our great (cough) economy. Edited by Nomak - 19 Sep 2008 at 5:47pm |

Unfortunately, no matter how much better your product is, most people will go with what's cheapest. ... I didn't mention the Scottish Mom of Pennypinching...
![]() I believe I've sold her on the product reliability and customer service of DSO, so when she's finally fed up with her old pc, I'm hoping I can get a solid DSO gaming rig this time around. I think I'll start with a budget of like $8k just so I might get a $3k rig... ![]() Oh yeah, the mom said she would take my old DSO pc since it can do all she needs to do. So I can score a new one in the future! Edited by widdlecat - 20 Sep 2008 at 2:05am |

Hey Widdle... set a budget of $13K... so by the time it gets widdle'd down (yes, pun intended), you can work something more like $5 or $6K.
