Hi, I just ordered a Lumo’s PC from DS and I want to take care of my investment. I was wondering what would be the best way to keep my PC clean? I read that a datavac electric duster is a good option but would it be okay to just blow dust out every couple of weeks without any wiping? I’m afraid to wipe it and accidentally cause a static charge. Sorry I’m still new to this and would like to keep my PC in good running condition for years to come

No wiping anything electronic IMO. Blowing it out frequently would be best, actually. I'm too lazy for that, so I have to disconnect and move to the kitchen table for a thorough cleanup every 6 months or so. In that case, I do use a vacuum, but never touch any electronics with it. Suction only does the work. I also may wipe some nooks a crannies of the case, but never electronics; no liquids.

I can see myself getting lazy after doing good keeping it clean for a while lol. Unfortunately my room is very dusty so I’ll probably have to clean it once a month if I want to keep things flowing good. Got it, no wiping it is XD. Thank you so much for the reassurance and always being helpful :). |

You can get some fine mesh screens to place in front of the air intakes and that helps a bit but you will still have to dust and clean. Some use the small electric blower. Everybody develops a system for cleaning and keeping everything running cool. Enjoy. ![]() |

Many of us here on the forums used to recommend this unit from Amazon. Seems that the price has gone up a bit since then but mine is still going strong.... https://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-ED500P-500-Watt-Electric/dp/B001U899HQ/ref=asc_df_B001U899HQ/? This is what it looked like about 5 years ago when ArkansasWoman777 brought it to our attention. ![]() |

Best Buy also has one for about half the price but it has really good reviews. I plan to pick that one up. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/xpower-a-2-airrow-pro-multipurpose-electric-duster-blower-black/6326052.p?skuId=6326052 |

I have had one of these for years, and it works great. Also note that the Lumps has filter screens on the top and front. You can take them outside and blow them out easily. At the same time you can wipe the glass panels clean. Edited by Nomad1970 - 04 Nov 2020 at 12:54pm |

Best Buy has the xpower electronic duster. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/xpower-a-2-airrow-pro-multipurpose-electric-duster-blower-black/6326052.p?skuId=6326052 I wonder how it is. Price is almost half the cost of the datavac. |
