I haven't seen one since I've joined the family, so here's a job thread
Post your profession, a short description, and anything else you think might be worth sharing. I'm an operator at a natural gas processing facility. I work 12 hour shifts, 4 days in a row, then 4 days off, then 4 nights in a row, then 4 days off. Rinse and repeat :) The plant I work in is brand spankin new, so we're still working out all the kinks. We've got a 100 foot flare, and when it spits out 80 foot fireballs, things get pretty interesting in a hurry :D

I support my gaming habit through my boyfriend who owns his own dump trucks and and currently is hauling concrete with them for the state..at least i think its the state. They also do other hauling jobs when concrete isn't available.

Although I have a regular 40hr/wk type of job (which covers all the regular bills), what pays for all my toys is the graphics/photo/web/IT work I do outside of there.

I worked for an IT Consulting and Project management company for a while. Now I own my own company at the ripe age of 27. Before that I served in the US Navy.
Basically, I have 21 clients right now... Each client has between 1 server up to one company who has 7. Some of them have as few as 20 PC's while other's have ... well a lot more. It's a pretty sweet gig. I get to work from home as I can do the majority of my work remotely. And if there is an issue, I can usually get the client to drop it off here so I can work on it over night. Other than that, I do the slight bit of custom PC work for friends and friends of friends. People wanting to upgrade or install their first LC loop and what not. Just a little side cash. I also do a little teaching at our local university (I have a couple of Master's Degree's and more.) Live life, travel, and spend all of my money on gaming pc parts... because that's my heroin. |

Currently no official job but will have a porter position at a dealership within a few weeks.
On the side I help friends organize raves... also do minor photography (not to much due to limited time, equipment, and experience? and service, fix, and detail cars. the rest...  Edited by sti racer - 12 Sep 2013 at 8:00pm |

Let's see.. I used to build boats ( big sail boats), Master control operator at a T.V. Station, R&D at a military contractor ( if I said who they would kill me, and every one I have communicated with). Worked some IT jobs and now I am exhausted and so retired.
