How does DS choose which RAM and HDD to install?

Hello. I just ordered a PC from DS not long ago and I was just wondering what kind of RAM and HDD should I expect from them? I chose the standard 32GB DDR4 digital storm RAM and the standard 2TB HDD from them. Do they just put in whatever brand they have in stock or do they consider the configuration of you PC and put in what would work best for you?

Okay, so I just happened to have a quick chat with customer service and they mentioned that they don’t use a specific brand. No matter what they choose, I trust in them that they would use the best quality!

Used to be for years the "DS" RAM was Adata, but they will sub in others if they have to. Might have changed, IDK. The HDDs are one of the brands mention which are all quality drives.

FYI, I've been around awhile, and we just don't hear issues with DS branded stuff. I run my rigs 24/7, and never had a failure in 8 years from the last one, 3 years from this one. My daughter turns hers off, but it's going on 10 years old.

That’s great to know! I am sure their quality is top notch. I’ve seen nothing but positive reviews on DS.
