How does DS stress test their builds to validate stability? I would imagine DS runs a benchmark in a loop. I'd be interested in knowing what benchmarks are run, for how long and what is considered a PASS/FAIL. Modern CPU's can auto overclock. Let's say the CPU has a base of 3.0 and a boost of 4.0 on all cores. Is the system not crashing considered a PASS? Is the CPU running at a boost speed of 3.5 on all cores considered a PASS? I'm a little concerned at reading the reviews of the i9 9900K. It looks like it runs pretty hot even at stock speeds.

DS has always kept their testing proprietary. They have mentioned programs used but not details on fail/pass, etc.
Calling them is your best bet.

Bottom line it works! I am among many users and recent posters who have had their systems last 5, 6, and 7 years with little upgrading. In my case, I only added an SSD and an HDD! Rig was still crunching along, but the 7 year old video card was choking!
