Recently purchased a new ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero subsequent to the purchase of my Av X earlier this month. Wondering how difficult the installation will be. I've seen some videos indicating that the cooling system pipeline can be disconnected but no in depth analysis of motherboard maintenance. Anyone have experience on theirs or advice?

Did you go with hard-line or soft tubing? Reason I ask is that hard tubing is sized and shaped to fit explicitly the motherboard your system is being shipped with. Blocks may not line up when you change the board; if you use soft tubing you would be able to resize/replace tubing as needed. The other issue with replacing the motherboard shipped is cable management.
If the system is early in the production process, call DS and they will incorporate that change for you. |
