How long should I run Prime 95 be tested to check stability on Intel i7 965 ? I heard 8 hours and others say run Prime 95 to 24 hours.  What is the correct answer.

I plan to OC my processor to 3.8 Ghz and run some test on it.

Its open to debate really. I think 12 hours on small FTT's without instability will be fine. That's what I did at least.

If there is instability does it void the warranty?

If you do it yourself it might. But if you call DS and have them walk you through it then your warranty is still good.
