Is a 4 mb cache size too small nowadays? I notice many machines have 8-12.

Well as far as games go they do like cache, but even the E8xxx chips have 6MB of cache and do great with games.

in short 4 is OK 6 would be better, but you should be just fine with 4MB of L2 cache
