So I installed my samsung ssd to add to the existing hd. However, when I go into BIOS and try to change boot options for the drive I am told that I cannot change those options. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If the Windows OS is on the new SSD then power off, unplug the sata data cable to older HDD , reboot so it knows which drive is priority and then turn off, plug in HDD again .
