I have the newest version of the Avon (gtx 1070). Its pretty Damn heavy lol.
I was wondering which way to put laptop inside is safest for the laptop and the laptop screen.
The bottom of the laptop nearest my back? Or the screen nearest to my back?
And how can I place the backpack without crushing it (assuming I can't keep the backpack straight up)?
Maybe I'm just really paranoid about it. But isn't it justified? Lol it's a pretty darn expensive laptop...
Thankssss

I carried a laptop in field service for years, hiking all over Hartford and Ct. in general and never worried about it with a decent , properly padded case.   In my case, the laptop screen faced the top of the case so I could open it without removing the laptop from the case for quick checks. It was carried slung over my shoulder .

If you carry heavier items in your backpack, like text books, I would keep the laptop area on top if carried, placed horizontally. Slung over your back, it doesn't matter, but laptop on the top area of the backpack would be my pick.

I never used a backpack, but a seperate laptop case.

Hope this helps.

Edit..
It amazes me how much editing is needed because auto spell/correct completely gets it wrong.

My pleasure.

If the screen came in cracked, I'm sure it's covered.   If you cracked it by accident, my guess is no warranty.    But, DS would be the deciding factor.
