If I were to buy an Inspiron 570 from best buy:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dell+Inspiron+I570-7034PBK+Desktop+%26+20%22+LCD+Monitor+Package/9999133000050027.p?id=pcmprd133000050027&skuId=9999133000050027 Would this fir a 5770 easily? Dell just says that it has a PCIe x16 slot, but I dont know if it is at the bottom/top, or if anything will get in the way. I know that best buy links dont last very long, but its under Bestbuy>Computers>Desktops>Desktop Packages>Dell Inspiron I570-7034PBK + 20 inch monitor Its the PBK not the NBK. Yeah, yeah, I know that its not a DSO rig, but I cant afford one ATM, and I an needing a computer ASAP. |

Ugh, no. Dell will try to bend you over and screw you at every opportunity, during the buying process and after. They lack any customer service, you'll never get them to make good on a warranty, and they bundle ridiculous amounts of useless extras with the systems to jack up the price that much more.
If you don't need a monitor DS can beat the socks off that for a similar price. I mean, I will be getting a DSO rig soon for my moms house. At my dads house, I just need a computer to do basic computing/internet surfing/gaming. It will be games like CSS, or CS 1.6. Not anything like crysis.
BTW, I wont be dealing with Dell directly, best buy will be, and I will contact best buy. And, dell isnt as bad as people say, because i have had a good experience with them. Will the ATI 4200 Onboard be sufficient for a 1600x1200 monitor doing basic gaming, ETC? Or should i upgrade to the 5770? Also, in my school we are having a LAN Party in CS 1.6, on these 5 years old computers using onboard graphics, an they work fine. Lastly, I dont play at the maxxed out graphics settings, because i have slightly bad eyesight, so some settings dont even matter. What does matter is FPS, so less setting=more fps. |
