Hi, I guess this isn't a question but more of a request....
Can you guys at Digital Storm offer some HTPC builds in your product options? |

i dont think youll find HTPC builds here. DS is for very high end machines, and you can build a decent HTPC for <$500.

I could have sworn that Alex had commented on this in the past, but I couldn't find it via search so I must be imagining it. My guess is that HTPC's probably are not in line with what DS is gearing itself towards, but it certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

I remember him talking about this sometime ago too. I know they haven't done HTPCs but you could certainly ask. Although definitely overkill for a HTPC, the Bolt could be used as a Steambox for playing games on a TV. It's definitely small and quiet enough. My guess is that the main thing would be ordering parts since DS only stocks higher end components. |

HTPC's are currently not on our product roadmap, but, the Bolt is definitely a great option! We're going to have a special stand customers can buy for less than $40 which will allow them to lay the system flat without blocking vents.

Thanks for the replies.
I will definitely check out the bolt. Maybe what I meant to say was an HTPC on steroids. I'm looking for something that can run games like Far Cry 3 on maxed out settings, yet be the size of an HTPC. That way I could hide it in my entertainment center (so my wife is not staring at this huge tower computer) and use it to play games on my 55" LCD TV. I hear about this next generation xbox coming out...but lets be serious nothing beats the graphics of a well made computer game on a high end system. Do HTPC's of that strength exist? |

it sounds like the Bolt would be right up your alley then. its a tiny case and you can pack a ridiculous amount of power into it. |
