This version has been nothing but problems. It will not let me get all my emails with outlook. Guild wars 2 does not run at all. (Fav Game) I wish I had gotten windows 10 instead. I would suggest that you get windows 10 instead of 11. !0 works everything I asked of it. 11 is very buggy.

Questions:

01. Are you using the Home edition or the Pro edition?
02. Are you on the latest version of Windows 11?
03. Are you running a vanilla installation or have you configured the OS?

While I too am a fan of Windows 10, I am successfully running Window 11 Pro Version 22H2. I've also configured my OS to remove bloatware, Edge, disable unwanted 'features' and operate without being logged into a Microsoft Account. Oh, I also tend to run FOSS software, like Firefox and Thunderbird, instead of propriety products.

All of the games that I have tried to date run fine. Eg. Starfield, Elderscrolls V: Skyrim (modded), No Man's Sky, and EVE Online, vOv

I have noticed that some of my settings are being changed by themselves. Sound for one. As in where the sound goes thru. IE speakers, monitor speakers, stuff like that.

I am running home version and well check on the rest of what you asked for.

Ok this is what I found out. I am up to date, and this is the version.

Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5033920)

I am running the same version on W11Pro and have no issues. Every once in a while it rearranges the desktop (only where the Steam window appears on the main monitor) upon startup. My sound comes out of the audio jacks into an amp. You use a USB port?

Microsoft changing or failing to preserve user configuration settings is an old issue. I deal with the issue with the aid of O&O ShutUp10++.

Today I applied a couple of Windows 11 security updates:

01. 2024-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034765)
02. 2024-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5034467)

When I ran O&O ShutUp10++, afterwords, I discovered that a handful of Edge options were re-enabled. (Sneaky, sneaky. Frustrated) Those options are disabled again and gaming goes on.  Hahaha
