I Have been looking around and..

The Vanq2 seems like an AMAZING deal in comparison to what I would get from other company's pre-build desktops.

I mostly just play MMO's and nothing even close to the crysis side of demanding, and I buy my shooters/single player RPGs on console for the most part but would like to be able to run some of these on a pc as well decently.

I really need 60fps in a game like Wildstar or Warcraft thats basically the only strict need.

I was looking at the options and the one that is just under 1k (973 bucks?) seems really good and that is a very much appreciated price to see it tagged at!

My only big bummer was that I can not select windows 7 OS?!  I really would much prefer to be running Windows 7 for the foreseeable future. This is the only thing holding me back from wanting to find a way to order this computer ASAP

any advice for my needs with the games I play and if I can have it with Windows 7?

That is very sad news.

For that price I really don't know if I can pick something else, at least with something like classic shell or start is back I could avoid the new metro win8 crap that is only worth using in a tablet or phone.

I am very weary of going to Win8, but I am liking the value of the Vanq2 a lot the spec's seem to good to be true for the price considering its a pre-built PC

from what I can tell it should meet my gaming needs with flying colors!?

I am currently running a pretty abysmal setup in comparison... the cliffnote version of my PC is

- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
- Intel Core i5 2300 @ 2.80GHz
- 6.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (Dinosaur fossil!?)
- Gateway DX4850 (CPU 1)
- 1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (EVGA)
- Western Digital WDC WD10EARS-22Y5B1 ATA Device (SATA)

I have had this computer for like 4 or 5 years? and about 800 total dollars into it over all jamming parts that it probably doesn't want jammed into it X_X with the worst airflow in the history of time award all but wrapped up.

I feel pretty good about the  Level 3 Vanquish to meet my needs! and the price I can not argue with I think im going to pull the trigger when I can get the money.....

Can you tell me how happy id be considering you can see my specs atm? I should see pretty good performance increases?

This monitor for seriously like 7 years, any reason to want to upgrade from a gaming point of view it would be something I look at doing after getting the PC a few months after the fact.

This monitor has not let me down yet and seems good, I just wonder if its worth getting a newer one with the new PC?

Overall that HP monitor you have at the moment isn't bad. However, upgrading to a 120Hz + monitor will make gameplay much smoother.

Disabling Metro in Windows 8.1 is pretty easy and lets you boot to the desktop: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2055381/how-to-eradicate-metro-from-your-windows-8-1-pc.html

I may give it a shot but I planned on making use of classic shell. The charms them self I feel are worse then metro UI.

But I have put in the order!! Very excited to have it ship YAY!

Everyone is different.  That's why they make chocolate and vanilla. 

I can't speak for DS, but I'm pretty sure you'll have to wait until Monday.

Nice idea! me and 8 of my friends are starting a guild I should post up a thread on these forums we all have Warcraft back history and are extremely excited for all the content in Wildstar.

As it's a Vanquish and they ship fairly quickly, you might even get it before that date. Depending on the shipping company and where you live.

I was lucky, I live near DS so I could get my Vanquish at Will Call. From Order to Gaming in 5 days (including a weekend).

I hope you get your new system soon! Sorry to hear. Call FedEx and tell them to send a message to the driver, sometimes they will have the driver call you directly or come back to deliver it.

UPDATE! I just spent the better part of my night taking apart my room cleaning it top to bottom, and rearranging my set up to accommodate for my brand new computer!

I work weekends so I might not get around to posting a detailed review with pic's! until Monday.

Powered it up and got to installing my games and applications working wonderfully, looks amazing, build quality is TOP NOTCH.

Chances of me ordering for Digital Storm in the future for any custom desktop needs is 100%

And Wildstar launches tomorrow! woot!
