It would be hard for you to make a "bad" gaming computer here. Just make sure anything you decide on is compatible to prevent delays. To do that, just ask people...which you seem already willing to do.

Recommended display. They all support 1920x1200 resolution.

Option 1. SAMSUNG 2433BW High Glossy Black 24" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor - $299.99

Option 2. ASUS VW266H Black 25.5" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor - $299.99

There is an hdmi capable version of the samsung model for $309.99

Why these displays? The screen is what occupies your attention. These displays offer high quality visuals and excellence.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two gaming options spec around the recommended displays. I am only selecting i7 processors because of what experts have tested. i5 750 does not utilize multiple graphics cards as well as i7 processors (anandtech lynnfield review).

Option 1. The extreme 2, currently out of stock. Something to consider when they are able to offer specials like it. Priced at $1,946. You can have an excellent gaming computer for 2-3 years, and by that time, upgrade to a new one. If you don't want to upgrade that soon, it will also last you well beyond 2-3 years.

Option 2. The extreme 5.

(a) Offers better graphics cards, nvidia gtx 2x295. Some people say 2x275 (extreme 2 build) is all you will need for a 1920x1200 resolution to game, but there might be a game that comes out that you want to play which has superior physics and intensive computations that the 2x275 cannot optimized at that resolution.

(b) Offers frostbite liquid cooling. I think the frostbite covers the 2 graphics cards as well; you'll have to click on the specifications when there's a link available to make sure. $3,089. Again, currently out of stock. Keep checking on these specials.

A similar customized build to extreme 5 is $1,000 more. If you really want something now or an ssd drive, etc, that is the cost of customization you are going to pay. I would recommend waiting and see what specials are offered. The extreme 5 is like getting a free $1200 cooling system.

P.S.

I think it is really weird all those prebuilds are out of stock. They might have taken them down to recalculate stuff.

what size monitor are you plaining on getting?

@merc7dx, both monitors you have listed are not a good panel, notice its viewing angles are not the same, a sign of good panel is that it has the same viewing angles for both H ane V.

Alright, displays with same viewing angles.
SAMSUNG TOC T240 Rose Black 24'' 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor - $309.99

SAMSUNG T240HD Rose-Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor - $309.99

Acer B243WCbmzdr Black 24" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor - $359.99

They have the same viewing angles but the horizontal is only at 160 degrees.

dstme, now you have me curious. Where do you find this kind of information about viewing angles? Displays with the most customer reviews at newegg are 170h and 160v or a disparity thereof. It seems to me to reflect the shape of human eyes, a more horizontal peripheral than vertical.

the angle is too low, look for a monitor that has the same Viewing Angle, both vertical and horizontal, and above 170°

this bit here actually I picked up from justing and skyR they great experts in monitors and the type of people that know thier stuff by doing research and using only facts.

if you read their posts you will see great deal of facts on the subject yourself, but one of the easiest way of finding a good panel is finding a monitor that has the same Viewing Angle, both vertical and horizontal, and above 170°, cause if the panel of monitor is a quality one then it will have 170° viewing angle for both H and V.

check this out, this is a good one as far as panels go
