Greetings denizens of the digital storm forums, I'm here to see about getting a performance computer. I'm wondering if you guys mite be able to help me out. Here's what I need it to do...
I've only just started out with a new job with a trucking company and only just got my CDL several days ago. So cash to spend on gaming isn't very abundant at the moment, I need a device that's not terribly expensive but also can meet the high standards I need it to. I only plan on running one game on it, that game is World of Warcraft. I understand WoW isn't a very demanding game, but the problem is I need something that can hang onto 60 fps while im in thick of PvP raids so that I can effectively target call. I was hoping for a budget under 2k if that is at all possible. The rig just needs to be able to run just that one game, with the communication software on in the background on top of a 100 plus player character confrontation. |

I would recommend you going with the Vanquish line if you are on a tight budget, or just want the best bang for your buck.
![]() Maybe someone else from the forums will drop in and recommend which level would be best for what you're wanting it for. |

I agree. Go with Vanquish 4 for best bang for the buck. Plus the gtx 770 will play great on a 1920x1080 monitor . If you want a stronger video card, like gtx 780 for example, a custom build would probably max your budget or go over.

Just realize that the Wow engine is real bad and maintaining 60 FPS is often difficult no matter how much you spend on a computer.
Shadows is one of the huge issues. So turning it down a small amount makes a huge difference in the FPS you will get. Even then I see sometimes large drops in FPS for the first few seconds of a 40 man raid when every one is popping their cooldowns at the start of a PvE raid. Otherwise I am at or above 60 FPS all the time. When I ran AV a few times I did not notice the FPS drops since it is less likely to have 40 people all in one area and all popping cooldowns at the same time. I am using an older Level 4 Vanquish with the GTX 670. I assume the newer one will do a little better although with Wow realize the engine is in many ways your limiting factor. |

Agree with the recommendation of the L4 Vanquish. For the price, the hardware specs cannot be beat.
