We must have all decided to order at the same time :)
looks cool! That like that case better than the pro... You will definately be able to upgrade a few times with that later down the road.
I am curious why you went with 64 bit version of vista.

ed1371 is right, why do you have to go with 64 bit version of vista Home Premium because you just have only 2GB of memory, also we don't have vista Home Premium(64-bit), only vista ultimate has 64-bit edition.

Thanks... I went with the 64bit for a couple of reasons:
1) I want to be able to upgrade the ram if I need it. From what I have heard, 2GB may not be enough.. But I have to determine that for myself.
2) People are reporting that alot of the 64bit driver issues and compatability issues have been resolved or are close to being resolved.
3) I dont want to have to buy a new version of the Software if and when I do decide in teh future that I want to bump up to 64 bit... tat OEM version is 32 bit only.
I selected 64 bit home premium from the drop down.... I have seen other e-tailors selling the Home Premium x64 version.. I am confused.. Will I be getting the 32 bit, even though I selected the 64?

Your config looks fine but why use built-in audio ?? Games and video will sound better even on a 2.1 speakers with a dedicated sound card. I would also choose a bigger PS since you want to upgrade a few more times.

Commast,
Good point about the audio, however, My computer is in my bedroom... The only time I usually get to play is at night or when the baby is sleeping and am forced to use my headphones. I dont think I have used my speakers more than 10 times in the last 3 years.
When I refer t o upgrading, I dont want to do SLI, just stick with single but bigger cards along the way... So I dont think I will need a bigger cpu.. also.

I hear you on using speakers, I would love to be able to turn up the volume on my puters when playing... but I play at night as well and always use headphones.
I am on my 2nd pair of HPA2's from turtle beach... they really do make a difference.

Not too long ago, I swapped our computer room with the guest bedroom. So now, my computer room is on the opposite end of the house from our bedrooms, and in the basement. I can crank the 5.1 system if I need to. I rarely do, though. Apart from movies, I tend to play the games at a very moderate level. If anything I'll play my music fairly loud. |

My PC is in the basement too and i don't get play games or watch video real loud either since i can only does all that activities at night, after the kids are in bed. In my experience with a pair of good headphone you can still hear the difference in quality between the built-in versus a dedicated sound card, but maybe because i have almost perfect hearing |

I wish I could crank my system... I used to love the surround sound on games like wing Commander .... hehe... So right now I am pretty used to headphones... My headphones are actually USB based so they dont even go through the sound card
